The Employees Assistance Program is a joint labor-management program that benefits New York State employees by enhancing employee wellbeing, increasing productivity, and improving morale in the workplace. The Employees Assistance Program is funded through the collective bargaining agreements between the State of New York and the public employee unions: CSEA, PEF, UUP, NYSCOPBA, GSEU, Council 82, and DC-37. The Governor’s Office of Employee Relations contributes on behalf of management/confidential employees.
EAP is designed to help state employees deal with the everyday issues involved in balancing work and life, as well as more serious problems that may impact work performance. EAP services are confidential, voluntary, and offered at no cost to employees and their families.
