The Children's Center at Farmingdale has been offering child care and camp services since 1985. Nestled on the Farmingdale State College Campus, the Center boasts a state-of-the-art building that includes four, age-appropriate playgrounds. The Center serves children and families of State employees, including Farmingdale State College faculty and staff, and the community at large. All State employees receive priority enrollment. The Center is licensed for 120 children, ages 6 weeks through five years. The program is open year-round, with the exception of major holidays and one week during the Christmas break, weekdays from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Enrollment is accepted year-round. 

The Center is dedicated to providing a high-quality program and utilizes "The Creative Curriculum" providing optimal care for each child, acknowledging their individual differences. The Center has an indoor gross motor room which gives the children opportunities for physical, gross motor play in inclement weather. The Children's Center also has an exciting eight-week summer camp program available for children who have graduated kindergarten through ten years of age. The camp offers weekly trips and educational programs.
