The Children’s Place at the Plaza, located on the Empire State Plaza in Albany, has a long-standing reputation of excellence in early childhood education in the Capital District. This was the first early learning and care center to open under the Network.

The Center serves children and families of State employees and the community at large. All State employees receive priority enrollment. The program offers infant, toddler, preschool, and school-age programs for 126 children. Hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and children are served breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack; all provided with a focus on healthy, whole grains, and natural foods.

Children's Place at the Plaza is a high-quality educational program that provides safe, attentive care to children in an atmosphere where they can grow and learn at their own pace. The Center provides developmentally appropriate programs for young children led by dedicated, experienced staff with credentials in early childhood education. The program is enhanced by regular visits to the nearby New York State Museum and local arts venues. A state-of-the-art playground is available for daily outdoor active play. Parent participation and visits are an integral part of the program philosophy and are always welcomed.
